So many choices!

With a new truce between Israel and Hamas possibly as early as next week, a question came to mind. And I thought that this question could be a sort of ice breaker and help us to get to know each other a little better.

The question is: What was your favorite Israeli / Palestinian truce (to avoid placing you into too much of a box I will also accept "offers of peace" from either side).

For my part, I thought the October 1997 Hamas offer was really super.

Looking forward to hearing about your faves!

History is made.

It is January 21, 2009.

Yesterday, history was made. A (partially) African-American has achieved something that, 50 years ago, would have seemed almost impossible:

A (partially) African-American has made it to the ranks of the Illuminati/Masons.

This is the dream - that any child in America can aspire to be anything - even the President (if the Rockefellers & Rothschilds say they can).

God bless America. Let freedom ring.

What really matters?

I guess it comes as no surprise that when financial institutions need bailing out (along with some of the other largest corporations in the world) the economic effects will be far reaching. The question that many are now asking: "How bad will it get?"

It is a question that I find myself thinking on quite a bit. It's not just my own welfare that concerns me. I am also thinking about the world that the children of today will eventually inherit. This seems like one of those moments in history when people begin to assess there lives and re-prioritize. Things that were "necessary" are now regarded as unimportant. But how far will the cuts go?

I am nervous about the possibility that we may get somewhat over-zealous as we redefine the necessities of life. Will art and literature be cast aside in the rush to shed ourselves of all but the barest of essentials? What is it that we will leave to the next generation?

I feel for the youth that may miss out on the beauty that we have taken for granted all too often. And I feel for the surgeons and those in silicon related fields that may find their art cast aside for some lesser form of aesthetic. I feel for the children that may never know the awe of a perfectly cut nose, wonderfully augmented cheek bones or... well, you get the picture. You get the bleak, cold, horrifying picture.

Just a suggestion, go out and get some work done! Show the children you care about the world they will inherit. Wait, don't tell me that this is only an option for the rich. Botox is now affordable enough for those who can't afford calf implants. And if you don't have the cash, well, that's why we have credit!

Show the children that the simple things in life matter. And at the same time you can jump start the economy with an influx of money well spent. Things don't have to get bad, or ugly!

Ok, I'm off to get my butt done!

Since this won't end well......

To my middle eastern dictator friends:

Don't spend too much time or money trying to bump off Obama. If you just exercise a bit of patience, we'll eventually do it for you.

To my African-American friends (not really friends - I'm using it like you use "brother/sister" to someone who isn't related to you):

When Obama ends up assassinated just remember - it's not necessarily a racial thing. I mean, most white supremacists are far too busy trying to figure out how many more Trans Ams they can put up on blocks in front of their "double wide" - there is just no time to plan a good 'ol assassination.

To the white supremacists (who are having this blog read to them):

Remember to only shoot his black bits!

And to all of my fellow Americans:

Here's to four years of being lied to with beauty, style and grace - a much welcomed change from the bungling whoppers of the present administration. Enjoy!

vote!!!

Remember people: How good do they look? How good do they sound? Who will they bomb?

Now, get out there and exercise your democratic right to vote! I don't care who you vote for - republican or Democrat. I don't even care if you understand a single issue. Just vote.
